Now and again I get my hands on something to test and review, this month saw the delivery of DJI Phantom 2 (quadcopter) it carries a 14mp camera and is capable of HD video.
Photos from the system are wide angle so need to altered to remove distortion otherwise with the very stable platform the images are excellent.
When flying the view finder (what the camera is seeing) is viewed on a mobile phone or tablet, this also give you control over several camera settings.
Video can also be started or stopped from this screen.
This is the distortion on the images straight from the camera (2nd photo).
Looking forward to finding out more about it.
The usual question, "What kit do you use?"
My camera kit is mainly Nikon, currently the cameras used are:
D800, D5100, D2x, D80, AW110
Lenses are a mixture of Nikon and Sigma, both FX and DX, these covers from 10mm up to 500mm.
Tripods are Gitzmo and Manfrotto.
Also have Phantom 2 Vision, for aerial shots carries a 14mp camera that also doe HD video.
Buchan is an area in Aberdeenshire North East Scotland, I live on a croft in Buchan named Bedlam (well named) here I have a studio and office and space to breathe. An area fenced off for wildlife about 1 1/2 acres is covered by a trail camera, this has caught Buzzards, Deer, Badgers, Fox and many more, there is also a hide in this area.
Bedlam is shared with Shetland Ponies and 2 dogs, there has been Pigs and Sheep at different times, chickens were kept purely for the Fox's.......
Videos of the Deer family and one of the Badgers, captured using a Bushnell Trail Camera.
